Great organization ideas don’t have to be expensive. Keeping your home organized doesn’t mean you have to go out and buy all the latest boxes and bins in every color imaginable. And it doesn’t mean you have to wait to get organized until you get these things. You most likely have lots of items in your home already that can help you to start organizing your stuff. Everyday household items can serve more than one purpose. Many of the items you probably already have in your home can be re-purposed to store and organize everything from office supplies to pet food.
A simple hair clip is a great way to manage a tangle of cords. You can color coordinate them with the room or have them match the cords, so they’ll almost disappear.
Place a metal cooling rack inside a tray to dry off wet shoes and boots.
Attach a folding clothes drying rack to the wall. Then use it to display your kid’s latest artwork or photos.
Keeping pieces separated in plastic bags is a great way to keep your jewelry from getting tangled. Label the bags so you can easily find what you’re looking for. Plastic bags are also a great way to keep game pieces together.
Charging stations can be quite expensive. Make your own by covering a shoe box with wrapping or craft paper.

Create your own drawer organizers by repurposing egg cartons. They’re perfect for organizing all the little things that can get lost in a junk drawer.
Baby food jars are fabulous for organizing a multitude of things. Here they’re used to store spices. The rack they’re on is actually used for baby food jars.
A trash can becomes excellent storage for bird seed, cat litter, salt or other messy items. Get creative with an interesting label. These are magnetic letters, but you could paint a rectangle with chalkboard paint and write it on.
