I love to find innovative DIY ideas. And let me tell you, there are some very creative minds out there on the interweb. I’m always looking for something new and different. It’s so much fun discovering what people’s imagination and ingenuity can come up with. If you follow me on Facebook, you know that each day I post 3 or more cool ideas there that I’ve found in my searches. Since there are so many fabulous projects to choose from, I thought I’d start sharing a few here each week, too.
These pretty Apothecary Jars are from This Old Chair. This project is so easy to do! You need 3 candlesticks. They don’t have to match, but they should be of varying heights. Spray paint them all the same color. Spray paint the tops of some lidded glass jars and glue the jars to the candlesticks. Make sure the jars fit on the candlesticks. You’re done!
Have you ever wanted a vintage hall tree? Now you can make your own out of an old door like this beauty from Sassy Trash. Love the antique style shelf brackets!
Here’s another idea from the folks at Better Homes and Gardens. All you need is a frame, candlestick, and wooden plaques to build this unique bedside table. Attach the plaques to the bottom of the candlestick using screws and wood glue. Spray-paint the base and the empty frame. Place some fabric or paper inside the frame, then attach to the top of the candlestick.
Love this idea from Photog Mommie. Mary Jane used an old door to make a photo board. Each pane holds one picture and the door is bolted to the wall. It doesn’t get much easier than this!
This idea found at Remodelista is installed in the wine tasting room of a Napa winery. Wood pallets are stacked to create fabulous shelving. Metal jelly roll pans are used in lieu of drawers. Rustic and contemporary!
The chest of drawers pictured here was given a wonderful makeover by Lucky Me Studios. Paige not only painted it, but designed her own special knobs. I love how the second drawer drops down and reveals a desk area. It would be fairly easy to transform a drawer in a regular dresser to create this same type of drop-down. I think I may be trying this one!
This quick and easy frame project is from Real Simple. Repurpose an old frame to create this lovely vanity tray. Place a piece of colored paper or fabric inside as a finishing touch. Ready in minutes!
Hope you enjoyed these DIY projects I shared with you today. Remember to check out my Facebook page for more ideas!
