Laundry rooms come in all shapes and sizes. We have all seen those huge dream laundry rooms on Pinterest with sprawling floor space and multiple machines, not to mention all the space in the world for folding and hanging clothes. The truth is, you don’t have to have a huge laundry room for it to be awesome. There are so many wonderful laundry room ideas out there, not excluding the small spaces.
At some point in our lives, most of us have had a laundry room that was in a closet, especially if you live in an apartment. While it may not sound ideal, having a laundry space in a closet is actually a great space-saver and can be highly efficient if designed right. I found 10 closets that were turned into laundry stations that are pretty and efficient.
Closet Laundry Room Ideas
1 The metallic tile back splash gives this closet laundry room a “WOW” effect. It’s so pretty, it’s worth leaving the doors open for everyone to see it. Not only is it beautiful, but it is also efficient with features such as a counter top for folding, cabinets, and a bar to hang clothes.
2 This adorable rustic laundry room opted for storage beneath the machines and curtains to hide everything when guests are over. The curtains are a pretty and efficient alternative to doors.
3 This bathroom closet set-up totally maximizes the small space with high shelves and stackable machines. Matching the wood of the shelving to the sink was a great way to pull it all together.
4 Talk about efficient! This great DIY closet combines laundry, tools, and gift-wrapping. The wonderful organization is making my heart melt.
5 I love all the adorable vintage trinkets and touches in this laundry room. The soft blue is a great choice for anyone who wants to turn doing laundry into a more tranquil experience.
6 Beadboard on the wall is a smart way to give the laundry area its own personality. The mirror, wall sconces, and accessories add some fun and glamour that you don’t often see in a laundry room.
7 Here’s another great example of maximizing a small space with plenty of storage using a mixture of cabinets and baskets. There’s even a little folding board that extends from between the stackable machines. To hide it all, a curtain drops down from the ceiling.
8 A pop of a bright color is a great way to add style and flair to a laundry space. This one is definitely not short on personality with all the fun colors, art and accessories. The scalloped edge at the top is a great touch in place of doors.
9 Taking advantage of high ceilings brings great rewards in terms of storage – including allowing space for a wine cooler. To reach the top of the washing machine, a step stool has been tucked away for easy access.
10Matching the bright red of a nearby wall to the machines was very clever and gives this laundry space with a sliding door a lot of style.
