I love dining outdoors. Or to say it the fancy way, alfresco. There is nothing quite like enjoying the fresh air while you’re dining with a great group of people. Recently, we decided to update our porch so of course I was looking everywhere for inspiration. Along the way I found a lot of amazing ideas. One thing I love is that outdoor dining rooms can have as much character in their decor as an indoor dining room. In fact, I think some of the most beautiful outdoor spaces are ones that take inspiration from interiors. Here are 10 outdoor dining rooms for inspired alfresco entertaining.
Outdoor Dining Rooms
1 Allowing foliage to grow along a structure can create a romantic garden setting. A chandelier and clamshell fountain heighten the atmosphere with elegant lighting and sound.
2 This outdoor space is full of natural textures, from the stone fireplace and wood table to the shell-encrusted mirror and driftwood mantel. Pea gravel serves as a low-maintenance ground covering to extend the patio and add some dimension to the space.

4 White curtains not only make a statement against the warm wood pergola and soften the lines, but they also supply privacy to the dining area when needed.
5 Nothing says sophistication quite like white against a lush green backdrop. Simplicity breeds elegance in this outdoor dining room, even down to the choice of large well-placed tiles.
6 Scattered lanterns provide a glowing atmosphere. Low-voltage lamps provide some extra lighting, but candlelight sets the mood.
