If you’re anything like me, the holidays tend to sneak up on you. I get really excited for them and enjoy the festivities that lead up to the big day, but when it comes to decorating I tend to put it off until the holiday is suddenly upon me and I realize I haven’t gone through with half the fun ideas I had planned. (For Christmas this year, I am bound and determined not to let that happen!) Should you find yourself on Halloween in need of some last-minute decorations or treats, there are some quick and easy DIY projects that can remedy that. No need to feel gravely un-festive amid trick-or-treaters or an impromptu party at your place. Try some of these last-minute Halloween ideas and no one will be the wiser.
Last-Minute Halloween Decorating
1 These crafty spider webs were made out of something most of us have readily available at home: trash bags. All you need are the bags, scissors and tape and you’re good to go.
2Here is another clever Halloween decorating idea using trash bags, this time to create a creepy tree for a window. This tutorial is a little more involved if you want to take it all the way with chalk and chalkboard paint.
3Adorn your front yard with some DIY bats to hang from the trees or porch. They will definitely help set the eerie mood and are easy to make with a handy printable template.
4To create some glowing ghosts, pop a glow stick into a balloon, inflate it, tie it closed, and then draw a ghostly face on it. I’m filing this one under Why Did I Never Think of That.
